About Us
Founded from passion and experience, we’re a professional organic gardening consulting company that’s proud to offer our services to gardeners throughout Cleveland and the surrounding area.
Grow at Home was established in 2016 by Michael Bartunek, an experienced organic farm manager. He has a B.A. in Geography from Kent State University, and also graduated from Growing Power's commercial urban agriculture program in Milwaukee, WI. He designed and managed Rising Harvest Farms and Community Garden, in Cleveland's Old Brooklyn neighborhood, now an urban winery and community garden. He currently resides as the Senior Farm Manager of The Ohio City Farm with a far reaching Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA), store and commercial kitchen. The Ohio City Farm is among the largest and most productive urban farms in North America.
Additionally, he and the Grow at Home team have built and/or oversee numerous community gardens and private projects. This includes The Urban Community School Garden, Open Doors Academy Garden, Group Management Resources (GMS) Corporate Garden, Great Lakes Brewing Company's Pint Size Farm, located in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, MetroHealth System's Hope and Healing Garden and Pediatric Wellness Garden, Merrick House school garden and many other private spaces.
He and the team's projects have been featured on numerous news outlets including appearances and interviews on The Rachel Ray Show, Fox 8 News, Farm and Dairy News and articles in The Plain Dealer, News Herald, Brooklyn News and Edible Cleveland. Michael and the team endeavor to share their love of working with nature through organic gardening with the community. Together we can get you growing more, right outside your door!
